I have moved to a new place less then a year ago. I'm a student in high school. I hate it, because I can't make any close friends here, or friends that I can hang out with. I am pretty shy, and its hard for me to connect with other people.

How can I change this? What should I do?

thats really hard. just try being friendly to people. talk to the kids in your classes. ask them questions and listen to their responses, show that you're genuinely interested in what they have to say. just be nice to everyone and people will like you :) you just need to put yourself out there a little more. good luck!
