i really like this guy. lets call him j.
j is in one of my classes.
i really like him, we used to be partners but now we aren't. its hard to go up and talk to him. i dont know if he has a gf or not but i really want to know. he stares at me a lot. i mean a lot. does this mean that he likes me?

The only way to know is to ask. Try just saying "hi J. How's it going?" one day and see how he reacts. Maybe he's afraid to talk to you, too.
