Well, I convinced parents to get me one for emergencies.
But, I got a $20 Tracfone and prepaid minutes. I usually got about 90 minutes at a time. I used it only for texting.
I would make sure to not use all minutes in less than two months.
Now they're considering to get me something more fancy.
