Most lice shampoos contain ingredients that can dry out and damage your hair. Dry and damaged hair will break off more often than nourished hair will.
Do you color or perm your hair? Do you use heat to style such as a blow dryer, curling iron, hot curlers, etc? This can contribute to the problem by further damaging your hair.
I doubt that your problem is a direct cause of just the lice shampoo you used a year ago. However, this shampoo could have compromised your hair leaving it vulnerable to further damange and dryness if you did not take care of your hair after the treatment.
Make sure you buy a rich conditioner for your hair and that you use it regularly. You MUST keep your hair conditioned to prevent any more breakage. Keep any styling gels or hairsprays away from your hair for awhile. Also, be sure to keep your hair trimmed of all split ends to ensure that it retains a healthy, soft look.
If you find that over time this does not help you and your problem is severe enough, you might want to consider seeing a dermatologist.
