i really want a cartilage piercing but im really scared of a couple things ...
1. does it hurt when they put the needle through??
and does it hurt ALOT after wards
2. does it get caught in your hair or clothes?
3. how long does it take to heal and how long b4 i can change it ..some ppl say it take 1 year to fully heal is that true?

thankss in advance :)

I have both of my cartilage peircings done, and they didn't hurt at all. And I'm a pretty wimpy girl, haha. No, it doesn't really get caught in stuff, but whenyou first get it you DO have to watch when you tuck your hair behind your ears, because your peircing will be tender, but after three months it's fully healed, and you can change it.

I want to thank you for all the information, and repay you with a warning. I got the piercing done and I developed some of the ugliest keloids you've ever seen. No more piercings for me! So not worth it that I have to carry this around for the rest of my life. I took out all my other piercings and learned something very important: for many of them the scars never go away! My Monroe piercing makes this weird V-shaped when I smile where the piercing used to be.
