Umm... Hi. This is sort of an awkward and/or dumb question, but I'll just come out with it.
Well, I'm almost 14 and I still haven't gotten my period. But the thing is, I'm really scared to get it. I've heard SO MANY embarrassing stories about girls getting their periods at school and soaking through their pants, and I've also heard it doesn't feel like a thing, so you don't know if you pants are all bloody... I'm really nervous, and I have a feeling I'll get mine soon, but I need to know if there's some kind of warning or something that you get before you have your period... so, anyone? (link)

You should notice when you're menstruating. As soon as you think you are, because it'll be all wet and gross, go to the bathroom, bring two panty-liners (one tiny one, and one thick one), and put the thick one on the inside of your underwear and if it soaked really bad, put the small one on the outside. That way it won't soak onto your jeans. There isn't really a warning, but the first time, it's not that bad. It should be pretty light.
