Q: Thank you for the advice earlier! I asked about my boyfriend who's being a jerk. I have another question.

Well, I told him I'm sad. He said he doesn't know what to say. I asked if we could meet tonight to talk things over and he said okay.

I really don't want to end it with him. What do I do?
One of the worst things a young person can do is stay in a questionable relationship. It's very important to have friends but not relationships. Here's why. A friend should be willing to accept you as you are and the same with you. If a friend turns into a jerk and you find it hard to be around them you just cut it off, no sweat. A relationship gets to the point where you have invested yourself into this person and thinking of losing all that time and energy bothers you in many ways. It would be like finally getting along with a step parent and then they decide to get a divorce. You feel cheated because of the energy you put into getting along with this person. So this boyfriend is starting to cause you to have second thoughts and you really don't feel comfortable having to start all over so you are going to try and make it work. It just might not be worth the extra effort to find out later on you are now making an even bigger mistake. Keep your feelings close to you until you are old enough and wise enough to know for sure the guy is worth the time YOU are going to invest in HIM!

Thank you! That's very true! :)
