on April 22 i got my first Depo shot which is effective for three months i went in to get my second one of July 1. Today, me and my boyfriend had sex without a condom and i was wondering if i should still be covered? Also, i don't remember how long the doctor said that it takes for the Depo shot to become effective, so anyone who could tell me thank you.

you'll be fine. you're second shot technically wasn't due 'til july 22. the first one is definitely still in effect. but a warning about the shot. after my third round i had my period for 6 straight months. yeah... it's highly affective but has some ridiculous conseqences. ):
