so i've been dating daniel* for about 4 months, and we've definitely had our ups and downs. during the worst down, which was last week, my dad was in the hospital and it seemed like he didn't care at all. i turned to my ex, tyler*, who i hadn't spoken to in a while. i missed talking to him because he knew me better than anyone else and we hadn't seen each other since the breakup since he took a gap year between high school and college and was out of the country. he said some "suspicious" things, like that he wished he saw me more when we were going out and that he wants to drive to see me on my birthday (july 7) and over the year and stuff now that he's home. and during this phone conversation, he also tried to break daniel and i up by saying that the relationship was dead and he apologized for all his mistakes and said that i'm hotter now than when we were going out. now he's daniel's boss this summer at the camp they're working at. i didn't break up with daniel because we talked our issues out. should i worry about tyler? If you're worried about him saying something to Daniel and making Daniel think you said things to Tyler that would hurt Daniel then you might need to worry. If that's the situation then you should talk to Daniel and let him know that he needs to trust you and know that what Tyler says is not true,(only if he says something that you two didn't say in the conversation to make Daniel mad, and if you think he will). If Tyler really did care about you as much as he said he does, then he should understand that you are happy with Daniel and he shouldn't try to break you two up if he wants you to be happy.

I did tell Daniel that I'm sorry if Tyler says anything weird or inappropriate...I guess I'll find out in a few hours how everything went.
