So.. I've found out that I cannot get more peircings.. because my SECOND ear piericings I got keyloids. Which I had to have removed, and are gone thankfully. But then.. I got sick with this strange thing that caused sores.. and left hypertrophic scars. So.. my mainquesiton is.. would that happen if I got my belly button peirced.. or a tattoo?
And are there anyways to make hypertrophic scars.. less raised.. or noticeable.. because I'm 16, and it feels like the end of the world, because I have so many in obvious places. I know its not the end of the world, and I probably will just have to keep dealing iwth it forever, but I just wanted to know if I had anymore options.
Because I went to the plastic surgeon, and he said there..was.. nothing he could do, and I've had a huge scar on my shoulder from when I was a baby having heart surgery, so I guess I'm just emotionally traumitized by having SO many scars.. because right when I get over..wearing a bathing suit and people seeing my scar, I get new scars thhat I cant hide, or atleast get over as easily.. =/
I'm sorry if this is long and sounds whiney, I didnt intend it to be.. I just need some help.. (link)

I don't think you sound whiney. I know from experience how difficult it can be to cope with scars. I ended up in the hospital a few years ago with scars on my face, neck, back, and chest. The largest a vertical 'heart surgery' scar.
I tried many products, especially creams, which did not work. Several doctors also told me there was nothing I could do about the elevation and redness of my scars. But this turned out to be incorrect.
I finally found out about silicone sheets and they did flatten my scars. They also reduced redness and made the tissue much softer and pliable. Read more about my experiences on silicone scar treatment
