I have a couple of questions regarding cartilage piercings.

#1- what is the best way to take care of the piercing for faster healing and no infections?

#2- I used a gun that I purchased sterilized at a store. When can I change the stud to something smaller?

I have 15 Cartilage piercings myself, and they can take up to a year to fully heal!!! The main problem is if you have long hair (which i do) you must always keep you hair off the pericings which can be hard. I also adivse you put a clean pillow cover on every night as this is one way dirty and infection can rub on youe pericing. The fact you used a gun was a bad idea you might have shatterd the cartilage and caused seriors damge? If you are lucky look after it well and do not remover the earing for at least six months, i would expect you ear to be sore for a long time and made some swelling at the back depending on you indervdually, the main thing id top sick with it, as long as their is no puss ans their not given of heat you should be fine.
(Did you no that there the one peircing that takes to longesty to heals, abnd casue the most trouble) x
