i've gained a lot of weight since i got my period in like 8th grade.. (i'm a sophmore now) and i'm getting really frusterated because i used to be one of the skinniest girls in my grade and now i'm just average. any tips on how to lose weight? like specific diets? or other exercise tips?

i'm planning on running almost every day as soon as water polo is over.
i know i need to eat healthier-- it's just really hard.
i have a really flat stomach (i have like an outline of a six pack). but i also have really big arms. most of it is muscle (because i do gymnastics) but i want to get them skinnier and more toned instead of just looking big. i also need to lose weight in my thighs and hips and butt. so any good exercises for that?

running is an amazing thing, because if you run a lot , seriously EVERY SINGLE THING on your body turns perfect. try this:run 2 miles at a not that hard pace every morning and in only 2 weeks you will see results. don't like kill yourself running, just do as best as you can so you can keep it going for as long as you want. the trick to losing weight is running in the morning, because EVERYTHING you eat after you ran just burns right off. meaning everything you eat that day burns off.

to answer your question: because running before you eat anything gets your metabolism going and working hard, so then it burns off everything you eat.

im kinda confused.. why would you burn more calories if you ran BEFORE you ate? wouldnt you burn more if you ran AFTER you ate?
