Okay im in sophmore year of highschool and right now I have mostly d's in my school work. Last year I didn't do too great, i got by on mostly c's, and im on my final quater(?) in the year. My mom yells at me every night that i won't go to college on these grades, even if i get all a's next year and senior year. Is this true? I don't think it can be because I know people who went to harvard even though they had f's for quiet a while. But can anybody assure me?
unfortunately, your GPA is suffering severely, which colleges do look at.
no it's not necessarily true, but they must have had outstanding SAT scores to go to harvard. plus you wouldn't want to just get away with going to a good college, you'd want to EARN it. you will get into college.. but that means nothing. if you want a good, well-paying job you're gonna want to step it up a lot more, especially considering it's going to get harder and harder. senior year also doesn't really count because most people are already practically accepted into college by midyear.
first of all, what's the root cause of your grades falling? not studying? a guy? friend issues? you REALLY need to start getting back your A's & B's, so figure out what you need help with and act accordingly!
(Rating: 5) thanks. its mostly that i don't turn work into class. but my gpa is 5 exactly nine under honor role status because of my a's in two of my clases:)
