This is more of a rant than a question but whatever, I need your opinions anyway.

Do any of you ever get tired of being the "always-there friend"? I don't mean clingy. Like, you're always there for your friends-- whenever they have a problem, need someone to talk to, to hang out with, whatever, you're always there for them. And I'm fine with that. But whenever I make a really good friend, they find a better one, more fun, more something, whatever, and hang out with them, until the new best friend either makes a new best friend themself or can't make plans on a weekend, THEN I'm called. Usually they get tired of the new friend in a few months, maybe a little longer, and come back to me, realizing eventually that I'm a better friend. But its still hard, you know? Like, am I second-rate or something?

I guess its kind of a compliment because I'm like family to them, I'll always be there, and they can say anything or do anything (well, mostly, lol, I'm thinking brother-sister fights) and I'll still love them. But still... I'm a human too, I'm not just here for your convenience.

This happens / happened with ALL my close friends. All of them.

Anyone else want to rant with me about how this happens to them... or if anyone wants to give me some advice on how to regain my status as first-rate human I'd appreciate it. :] (link)
story of my life. yes its horrible i dont get it at all. how do we of all people get put second, what makes us the ones? i dont know but it drives me insane and ive lost friends over it, it just happens over and over. good luck with your friends, sometimes if they cant realize they're doing it then its time to move on.
