so i am starting college next year, i will be 17 i graduated a year early, its just a commmunity colege, but im nervouse, and im not sure why, but i want to be more excited about starting, plus im getting a dorm, which makes me 10 x more worried bout going. ADViCE PLEASE (link)
WOW i wish my community college had dorms!! i went to college when i was 17 too FULL time and part time high school... although i lived at home.. and not in a dorm.. i would think that dorms your going to have to get used to using time wisely. they might party. they might be loud. they might have their significatnt other. you two might not get along. i would adivse:

1.) dotn take valubles with you because you dont know them yet!

2.) take everything in stride. its not like highschool. there are people int heir 30s and 40s as well as their teens in 101 and 102 classes.

3.) use time wisely. till you figure out how much your teachers plan on you takign tests and wirting papers and everything dont party, go out every weekend, and spend alot of time doing homework cause you will not get progress reports here.

4.)Some of your teachers will be mean. some will be nice and understanding.. they will see the class room as a learnign enviroment (we all teach eachother together).

5.) dont let people walk over you. these arent people you have known since kindergarden or live down the street from you. they are people from different states or countries, different morals and ethics. stand up for yourself when you need to.

6.)and you knwo what.. have fun. i loved college so much more than highschool. just take it all in and try to be positive. and talk to the counsilors if you get over whelmed... they know that college is stressful.

have fun.and good luck. i hope this helps!
