Hi, everyone! My name's Rae. I love painting, reading, sleeping, museums, and I work at Aerie. I'll be attending college very soon, and I'm engaged to the most amazing person I have ever met in my entire life. Life is going so well and hopefully my advice will make your life just as good, :).

I've been doing some research on smoking cigarettes while taking oral contraceptives.

If one were to smoke a very little amount (i.e. 1-2 cigarettes a week) while on birth control, would it still be enough to cause harm?

PS: It's a proven fact that you still have smoke swirling around in your lungs. I personally smoke and so do a lot of people I know. We did this test where we didn't smoke for a few days and then we each took a deep breath, and blew out the air as hard as we could, a lot of us actually had a little bit of smoke blowing out of our lungs. The only way you can stop it is if you quit smoking and your lungs rebuild and heal after a few years. Don't insult my intelligence, okay? Thanks.

(Rating: 2) I highly doubt the smoke is "constantly" in your lungs.
P.S. No insult was intended. I just find it hard to believe that a 17-year-old's little "test" with friends proves that.
