I'm 15, and have been on the birth control Seasonal for about a year and a half now. If you are wanting the pill only because of your period being annoying and not because you are sexually active, then you should'nt have to have a physical. What my mom did was just consult a doctor and order them, and once a year i have to go to that place to just talk with someone and make sure things are working ok for me. And then they give you your new pills. I never have cramps, and my period comes only once every 3 months. But to worn you, most birth control pills will cause you to gain weight. I gained about 11 pounds, and I now have a few permanent stretchmarks. I don't regret going on the pill because of the weight gain, but just know, once you gain it, it is quite hard to lose, trust me. My advice is if your period is really bothering you, just make sure your positive you want to start the pill. I think its a great idea though!
