Okay so I am taking my ACT in October I guess..What should I be expecting? Is it as nervewrecking as it seems? How can I prepare because I am not taking ACT Prep this year..Uhmm..What exactly would be a good score for college and scholorships? Is it a good idea to take both the ACT and the SAT? What is the difference? Please someone just help me with this topic..Anything will do...Thanks much :] (link)

I've only taken the ACT, so I wouldn't know about the SAT.
However, the most important thing when you go in and take the ACT is have CONFIDENCE. If you feel like, yes you can do it and ace it, you will. Don't stress out about it. I suggest when you take your test, bring plenty of sharp #2 pencils, fresh batteries for your graphing calculator (and know how to use it well), lay out your clothes the night before, eat a good breakfast, bring a jacket in case it is cold, and perhaps gum if you would like.
It was nerve-wracking when I first took it last year, but once I got started, I just focused on the test.
For preparation, you can get a ACT prep book and perhaps a study buddy. :) Try the full-length practice tests, see what you missed and find out why you missed it. If you don't understand, ask someone for help, such as a teacher.
A good score for the ACT is about 28. However, many people get around the 22 range (of 36). Anything in between is above the norm.
It is likely good to take both tests.
However, if you do very well on the ACT, there is no need to take the SAT, though you can.
More tips:
Science tends to be the section most students have difficulty with. The secret is: don't get bogged down reading the entire passage if the questions deal mainly with graphs and experiments.
Skim and get the gist of it. Then go straight to the question, and see what exactly you are looking for. Do that: skim, question, answer, question, answer. You need the bare minimum of science skills (which is definitely not my strong point) to ace this section. You need the ability to obtain information from graphs and the experiment tables. Very little science actually required.
Even if you feel very confident about everything, if you have time left over, CHECK YOUR WORK! Repeatedly. You could have made a simple mistake or just bubbled in the wrong answer.

Ahh thank you so much. I actually copied and saved that just in case haha. I am not taking Algebra until next semester but I am planning to take the test atleast twice. My cousins said don't study for the first one and then study and see the difference, y'know? I don't even have a calculator yet haha. Is it hard to use? I'm horrible at math [and I'm Asian] but uhmm thank you so much for the advice and I will tell you about it when it comes! Haha thanks again :]]
