Im 16/f and me and my boyfriend have been dating for a year. We have sex, but hes at college, so we're not doing it as much. But I still wanna get on birthcontrol, but I have no idea how to tell my mom. She asked me before, but I said no. Now I dont want you guys thinking im a whore, bc Im not. We were dating 5 months before we even TOUCHED each other, no lie!. So can you please tell me about how you told your moms, and what they did/said? Please and thank you!!!

when i wanted to get on birth control, i was like 12 or 13, i wasnt having sex but i didnt want to get pregnant just in case the day did come... There was this place where i lived called plan parenthood they gave u birth control for free with out telling your mom or anyone. but they didnt have the patch(and thats what i wanted) So i asked my mom if i could talk to her, and then i told her that i wasnt having sex but that i wanted to get on birth control so if i ever did i would already be on it. i also told her that it clears your face and only makes you have your period for 3 0r 4 days and it helps ease cramps.
So i would asks your mom if your can go on or that you would like to and then tell her about all the cool stuff it does besides preventing pregnancy!
