hey i was planning on getting a nintendo but i don't know if i want the ds or lite what is the difference thanks in advance

hey--

basically the lite is a newer and more updated version of the ds. the ds is a lot heavier and bulkier and has a dimmer built-in light. The Nintendo ds lite is as it says, a lot lighter (weight wise and brightness wise ). It's smaller too. I would definetly recommend the lite.
