I have a boyfriend(sorta). He's a great guy, and my best friend used to like him(I think she still does), but she doesn't mind that I'm with him. I think about him a lot, and I like to be with him, but the problem is, not in public. He's not "cute" I guess. People say he's decent looking, but not really to me. I am afraid of what people will think because of my better reputation. I guess I'm shallow, but I want to keep my reputation(which keeps getting better), and I don't want a guy to ruin it. He is super sweet, and I know he cares about me(my friends can see it too), but he is kinda weird, and not cute. Help me out please. (link)

Your not shallow, everyone feels this way. Is he not cute in the his face needs total re-arranging, or the not cute as in hes got major acne and bad clothes? because if its the second one, you might suggest to him taking him shopping and getting him some new, better looking clothes? that is if you really like him and you can see you two going somewhere, if he wasnt so weird and not cute lol. if you really cant see you two being together for a while, then theres no sence in going out with him if you dont even want to be seen in public with him. but if you really like him, then try suggesting that to him and getting him into different things so hes less.. weird lol.

Thanks. He's both things you mentioned, but I do want to go somewhere with him. I like him, but he can't be fixed.
