advice

I am about 5 foot seven or eight and weigh about 12 stones :-S...is that really overweight? Im really depressed about it and my mums no help because she actually calls me fat to my face and when i try to wear shorts she sort of scowls at me.
Any tips on how to lose weight?...ive tried execising but i don't see a difference...ive even tried starving myself but im such a pig so i cave within the first 3 hours.

If you have a look at this chart http://www.eatwell.gov.uk/healthydiet/healthyweight/heightweightchart/ you will see that you may be a little over weight, but nothing major, it's rare that people are exactly OK for their height.

It's no suprise you are getting depressed about your body image with you mum making fun of you, but don't do anything to please other people, you are certainly not fat, you just need to know how to make the most of your curves.

Curvy bodies are beautiful and much more attractive than slim bodies, there's nothing attractive about seeing bones sticking out of people. I've been one of those skinnys, and i felt discusted when i looked in the mirror, i'm much happier with my new curves, and so is my boyfriend.

You might just need to tone up your body and make the most of your curves, find clothing that is flattering for your body shape.
Maybe the shorts you were wearing didn't flatter you, but that doesn't mean you can find other shorts or skirts that wont flatter.

Don't starve yourself though as this doesn't help you lose weight, your body will store up fat because it wont know when it will next get food.

You can have a look on the net for exercises to tone your body, but here are a few
