Q: 15/f. I have a stupid crush on someone older and it's gotten really crazy. I can't stop thinking about him and for some reason, I can't do anything anymore, even when i'm alone. I can' t even eat, or listen to music. i'm always thinking about something I might of said, or something embarrassing I did in front of him, even if it's not really that bad. I realized that my whole mood always depends on how things are with him.
I feel so stupid and out of control. I know this isn't healthy and it's killing my self-esteem.
How can I get over him ?

hey what's up?
well, if you have your mind set on a guy that you really like and care about, then it's hard to forget about them. I could give you a cliche answer telling you to "eat, be yourself, and find a new guy", but i don't think that's a good enough answer to ease you.
it seems like you really like this guy though, so i can see you getting over him being a long process. i'm sure you still want to be friends with him still and seeing him wont be a good thing for you to be doing. I think you should stay off the internet for a little bit and don't stay in contact with him for a little bit. walks always help clear my head so try taking a few of those, but remember to have a weapon with you for defense, there are some sick people out there you know :)
feelings for someone will sooner or later dim down. sometimes finding the flaws in someone can help a little with getting over a person. excepting the fact that you don't or maybe even can't be with him. it's all a matter of how you want to handle things. when it all comes down to it, it's your decision on what you want to do. with time comes changes and in those changes you have to cope and make best of what you've got.
so basically what i'm saying is take a break away from him and to regroup with yourself and take a walk and think about things.
about being embarrassed though..what i find helpful is just thinking, 'it's just words'. it may not work for everyone, but it helps with me. thats a cool trait about someone is them being at ease and willing to make a fool of themself and laugh at themself for it. so try thinking of things like that.
a question you can always ask yourself to get you through life is this: "what would i do if i wasn't afraid" but the "i" person is you, not me ;)
I hope this helped. I felt a little blunt in some parts in it, but i wish you luck :)
oh also, a good way to keep your mind off things is staying active and doing things. watching a movie isn't a good thing to do because sometime a movie can remind you of what ever you're trying to forget and watching movies gives you enough time to think and thinking is deff. out of the question when it comes down to what you're trying to do.
