Babe, why would you want to like a guy that's mean to you? I understand that he's nice to you and tries to make you smile and such but it seems to me that he likes you more as a friend then as a girlfriend, in this case. You didn't really give me a bunch of details but that's just how things are. You can try to change that completely. Try asking him if he wants to hang out, it's summer and you two should have some time to hang out. See how that goes. Maybe you two can watch a movie with another couple, that way another girl won't hit on him or something, or bring a friend you know won't do anything. If that doesn't work out, you'll eventually loose interest but still keep a good friend. :] I'm sorry, I hope I helped a little.
