Q: question. whats the difference between saying

let's see if we can find a tree

and

let's see if we can't find a tree
Nothing at all. they mean the exact same thing. Some just prefer to use can't over can.

can is actually a less positive form because its saying that they might not be able to find one where as can't is saying that they will be able to find one or that its less likely to not find one than to find one.

See what I'm saying? Its confusing i know. lol and everyone below me is WRONG! haha
