ok so I've had my period for a year now, and i've never used a tampon... is that normal?
another question is what tampons do you suggest for starters? If it helps I play a sport.
And last question- When i wear pads... I always have this feeling that my period is leaking through my jeans in school. But really its not. I don't know how to explain it, but it just feels really weird.
What are some ways to prevent my period from leaking? and What are some ways to make less blood come out, so I feel safer?
thnx, much appriciated
It's perfectly normal that you've never used a tampon. Some women simply prefer pads over tampons, and that's fine.
I'd suggest a junior sized tampon with an applicator since you've never used one. Tampax Pearl makes a good junior tampon.
You can prevent your pad from leaking by changing it every 4-6 hours. The only way to decrease menstrual flow is by going on birth control, even still, not all women have lighter periods while on birth control.
