Yeah yeah, "embrace your youth", i know.

But that doesn't always work when you're going to formal events/job interviews/etc.

I'm almost 16, and I look extremley young. My question is does anyone know of anything I can do with my hair/makeup/clothing that will make me appear older? (photo of me on column name: pockets). (link)
Slather on some make up, no bra, low cut top and short shorts, and you're good to go!

Haha, no. Well, for starters, I don't know what hairstyle you currently have, but if it's long? Try something short. Not only will it look more adult than long, little-girl hair, but it will also help define your cheekbones. However, if you don't have time to do that, try a ponytail or a simple twist or up do.

Next step: makeup [caution: DO NOT GO TO THE CHANEL COUNTER AND BUY BIG TUBS OF EVERYTHING AND USE IT ALL AT ONCE! But you're smart, do you already knew that, right? Right. [= ]

I would suggest some DARK eyeliner [try dark violet if you have brown eyes, black if you have hazel, deep brown if you have blue eyes, and the same for green eyes]. Apply 2 coats to your UPPER lashline. And then, one, thin [THIN!] coat on the bottom, from the corner to the area just past your pupil [about the middle of your lashline]. Then you know, hi light your cheekbones, do your normal routine, but tone down any bright color; nude colors are best. Add some orangey-red lipstick, and you're good!

Last step: outfit! Pick something professional, but flattering. A denim blazer with a simple dress, or some nice slacks would be good. Don't forget heels! :]

Hope that helps!

xx, Holly
