Well...heres somethings ive gotten my boyfriend in the past..and some ideas that ive heard of...hope it helps a bit:
~funny boxers (larry the cable guy ones...heheh)
~ gertrude hawks chocolate
~my boys preppy-ish so a necklace thatd go good with his outfits...i made sure he liked it before i bought it tho
~ A photo album (i also wrote little notes and pasted them on the pictures ya no...like "so cute" "nice hair" .. that kinda stuff)
~ A hoodie (so i could sometimes steal it)
~Cologne (theres really cheap cologne at like wal-mart...like packs of adidas stuff for 10 bucks)
~ Ive also taken him out to eat to a nice restaurant
