My parents are unbelievably overprotective.They will not let me go for movies with my 21 year old brother and 17 year old cousin.I am almost 14 and I'm not allowd to cross the street.I cross 10 timnes more caarefull than the average person(okay sometimes I can cross).My mom's not as bad as my dad.My dad will not let me go to this place just outside my building.I do not even have to cross the street to get there.WHy do they have these irrational phobias?what can I do about it? i know what you mean about overprotective parents!my dad won't even let me sleep over at my aunts house!!plus he won't let me stay home alone with my 18 year old brother!!there is really not much you can do about it...they might be that way because lack of trust...they may not trust you or might think your not responsible enough...show them your mature...and don't whine or argue with them...you'll lose major points...good luck
i know what you mean about your brother...my brother was always getting suspended...he even got expelled...plus he stole my mom's car,crashed it into a mailbx,tree,and wall,in that order!

Thanks for the effort but there is no doubt it is an irrational phobia.My brother was a very naughty boy was yours naughty?Mine used to mess wuth gears and accidently crashed a car.Please edit your answer and tell me about yours.
