I've been dating this guy for a month, we've gone on 3 dates, he's 2 years older than me. We're both gay and he's in the closet... I don't know whether or not I should ask him to be my boyfriend or wait for him to ask me... What should I do? His birthday is coming up and I was thinking we could have a candle lit dinner and then I'd ask him if he would like to be my boyfriend in a like proposal sort of way ^_^. He's going to be 19 and i'm 17. We both share roles so that it's not strictly dominant/non dominant. So... yeah any advice?? He's never been in a relationship before and i've been in two... I believe what you really want is for him to come out of the closet and celebrate with you. However, life is not so easy. I believe you should enjoy every minute while it last and don't pressure him for committment. The fact that you have gotten three dates means you are special. The dinner is a great idea, you could work in the boyfriend stuff but do it subtle you don't want to scare him off. "Say, I am thinking of taking it to the next level...what do you think.
