My name is Jesseca. I live in a small town, but I have big city ideas. People here do not have open minds, they aren't cultured, they're everything I don't want to be. So let me share with you what I know, how I feel, and just plain how things are.
Another thing - If you rate me a one, guess what? I don't really mind. If I answer your question - I obviously tried to answer it the best I possibly could.
If your question was extremely stupid and the solution to your problem extremely easy - I don't feel bad for telling you so.

My hair has got to be the most boring hair on the planet. It is super straight and all I can do is leave it down, but it gets staticy by the end of the day, ponytail, but not high cuz i get bumps in it, or down w/ headband or clip which is my favorite. not that i like it. its just the best of the lowsy three. I want to scrunch (is that what its called?) my hair, but I don't know how... any advice on how some cool new styles that are fairly simple? it would be GREATLY appreciated.

There is nothing wrong with super straight hair. In fact, I used to have INSANELY curly hair. But after a few chemical treatments, and a wonderful flat iron - I have super straight hair too.
But my hair doesn't matter.
It's yours that matters.
Now, considering I'm older than you - and the fact that my mother allows me to have as much freedom concerning my appearance as I want - some of my advice may not work for you.
Have you considered a haircut? Layers work freaking wonders. I drew pictures of my last haircut and had someone I trust a lot follow it. It was almost exact. My hair is shot - now since you say you can actually have a ponytail, I'm considering your hair is longer than my own. So I'm actually going to show you several pictures of several different people with different lengths of hair.
This first one is me, layers in the back (what's referred to as being "stacked" and longer in the front, framing the face, no bangs, dyed color.)

This second one is my cousin/bestfriend/fellow hair cutter of the world, Ashley. Her hair is a lot shorter than mine, blonde, and done by Ashley herself.

This third picture is my little sister, Samantha. Her hair is not naturally that color so ignore that, and it's layered to her shoulders. Sam's hair is actually extremely fried. She uses a flat iron, and sometimes (don't laugh, because I'm serious) uses a clothes iron on her hair. Her hair is not fried because of these two things. It's friend from prior perms/hair dyes.

Alright, so if cutting your hair isn't an option - styling your hair is the next best thing. You say leaving it in a ponytail makes it staticy? Try french braiding it, personally, I think french braids are super cute. I use a lot of hair clips - little kids clips are way cute and so are really old vintage ones that take a little searching to find. The brighter, the bigger, the more distracting it is from your "boring hair" the better.
Scrunching your hair.
There are products that allow your hair to do this. I personally don't think they work too well on people with naturally straight hair - so that's just a warning. Aussie has this stuff called "SCRUNCH" it's a spray. You spray it in your hair, and then brush your hair, and then take your fingers and do the "scrunching" part.
Sorry if my description of that wasn't any helpful.
Another way to do it, is to try scrunching it, without product, before you go to sleep.
It works for me, but take note - my hair is naturally curly.
I hope something I said helps.
