ok i am a skateboarder my self and im am pretty good at that. So i know what it is like to be a beginner and you dont want to get a really good skateboard at that the best suggestion is to get one from walmart and it also depends where you live to estimate how much it will cost but around here a walmart board only costs around maybe 20 to 50$, but if you get one and you learn a little on them like how to ollie shovit pop shovit nollie and maybe learn how to kickflip and heelflip then you will want to move up to better equipment and when you do get a better board you will notice a major change in how the tricks are done and a major hight change in your ollie, but the best site i have went to for a board is www.ccs.com they have all of the pro equipment and you can get a costum or a complete board custom would probably be the best way to go becouse you can get everything to fit your skateing style i am more less a street skater and the best board i found on there costs around 200 to 230$ so just make sure you want to stick with this sport before you buy a high quality board or you could be out of alot of money.
