I had mine taken out when I was about 7 years old, so I dont remember much but Ill try. When you wake up, dont freak out if there are a bunch of cords on you. Expect to cough blood for a while, but it goes away soon. You will have a soar throught for a few days.
what to eat:
popsicles, ice cream, cold drinks, pretty much anything thats cold. :-)
