advice

ok i am going to be a freshman and im not even going to try and hide it. i am very freaked out. my older sister says its no biggie but seriously i am a very sesitive person and i cant really handle getting teased or picked on without turning red or becoming insecure about whatever whoever happened to tease me about. and i am going to get lost (we dont get our scheds until the first day).
so does anyone have any advice about what to do on the first day or what NOT to do on the first day? advice with bullies, teachers, or red facedness will be greatly appreciated and rated.

Hey, everyone has to experience the first day of freshman year. & it's normal for movies, stereotypes, & other people's portrayal of high school to frighten you. I was in your position 4 years ago & I must say I felt the same way. The truth is, no one really picks on you & stuffs you in lockers. People might give you a hard time, but it's rare unless you bring it on yourself. To be honest with you, when you walk the halls.. it's hard to tell who's a freshman & who's a senior. So no one is going to single you out for no reason. Just know that there are a lot of other freshman experiencing the same thing as you. Teachers don't expect you to find your classes on the first day or the few days that follow. & if you get lost, ask someone in the hall who looks nice enough to help. In most cases, anyone you ask will be willing to help; they aren't as bad as you think. They were in your position at once.

You will be fine, trust me. People told me the same thing when I was starting freshman year & I didn't believe them. But after the first day, I laughed at how I stressed over something so simple. Yes, the first day will be a little nervewrecking, but don't let it frighten you that much. At the end of the day, you'll realize you got worked up over nothing. & the next four years will go by so fast. Enjoy high school while it lasts. & good luck! :)
