im trying out for field hockey when school starts up again. is there any equipment that i should buy to help me improve?
I played field hockey for about 8 years. First off start by going for a 20 min run every day... then maybe increase the time after a week or so. Alot of running is involved and if you can keep up with that everything else can easily learned. Buy a field hockey stick if you don't already have one, some mini cones and a colored field hockey ball. Thats all you need for practice. Set up the cones in a straight line with spaces in between and weave the ball in and out of the cones. This will help your skills. Another good thing to do is hold your stick in the air and see how long you can bounce the ball off the end of it. This practices good hand-eye coordination. Good luck!
