Q: i'm a sophmore and i'm probably transferring schools next year. but, this year, i have to go to the open house/take enterence exam, etc. but, the thing is, it's the rivalry school of the school i am in now..... i don' t think the people in the other school are as mean or will treat me bad because of it. but, this is my oppertunity to start over. and everyone will know me because they are both private schools. but, i'm just looking for tips to make new friends and fit in and stuff
any ideas?

The best way to make long lasting friends that you'll always keep in touch with is to just be yourself. That way, they know you for you and they're attracted to the real you. My rival school is called Edgewood, and there are quite a bit of people who have came from that school to ours and they didn't have any problem with making friends and being accepted. They joined teams and clubs that our school had to offer and they fit right in with everybody else.
