what is the minimum time i need to wear my retainer? i've had my braces off for a few months. my retainer is so uncomfortable :( is a couple of hours a day good enough? (link)

After I got my braces off I never wore my retainer and now my teeth are crooked again. I regret not wearing the retainer. Wear it day and night for a few months, maybe three, then start wearing it just at night for another three months, then after that you can wear it one night a week for however long you want. Once your teeth start shifting into the form of the retainer (because orthodontists always make it tighter than your teeth are) it will start to be more comfortable.
