What songs are easy to start singing with? People tell me to sing whatever song I want but it's not helping, because I don't sound like the person and it makes me try harder[it messes up my voice]. So any suggestions?

You don't have to sound like the person because singing the song, it's all about developing your own unique style of singing voice, so whatever song you choose don't worry about trying to sound like the person who sings it.

keep sticking to singing soft ballads like "my heart will go on" and you'll be fine.
