I just got a job as a Hostess at my Aunts Restaurant and I was just curious as to what exactly I would do. Do I greet people? I'm a really friendly person, I just don't know what to say.. I'm sure my Aunt will tell me, but I don't want to say the same thing, all the time, to everyone, I'd like to change it up a bit. (link)

Working with the public can be kind of boring sometimes, so why not spice it up a little?
When customers come in, take them quietly to one side and whispers things like
"The fish is poisoned"
"The beef has already passed through a dog"
"I'd reccomend the salmon, because the trout is absolutely disgusting"
"I'd reccomend the pork. It's terrible, but some reason I've taken an instant dislike to you."
"Try the salad, you lump of lard - for pitty's sake try the salad."
Actually, just being yourself will probably work much better. I've never managed to hold a job like that down for long. Funny old world....
