about
I live on the East Coast of the USA. I now work in the movies (rigging electrician or grip), but hold a B.S. in Psychology and a B.S. in Biology From Virginia Commonwealty University. I have traveled a great deal, inside of the states, and have had many unusual life experiences. I'm a 35 year old man, bored but happy!

What's the difference between the Army and the Marines? Does one rank higher than the other? Which would you recommend to a girl that wanted to join either or??
thanx a bunch
xoxo
One of the answers given is that "the marines are in the army". This is not true at all; the Marines and the Army are 100% separate branches in the US military.
Both the Marine corp. and the Army have many opportunities for women recruits. Traditionally the Marines boot camp is considered to be more difficult than the other three branches of service, but not so much as to base your decision on it.
The best way for you to make an informed decision will be for you to get into touch with your local recruiter, and go spend some face-to-face time with them. They will be able to review your work, school and personal history and give you some good pointers.
My opinion (and you know what they say about opinions) is Marine corp.
Here are the recruitment websites for both branches:
