I have no clue how to play softball. All I know is it's like baseball with a bigger softer ball. I know you hit the ball with a bat and run around some bases. That's pretty much it. Please tell me everything there is to know about softball before I humiliate myself playing it again. (link)

ok so im on a travel softball team. believe me, theres much more to it then running around some bases! i suggest you start watching the college softball world series which is on now (not this hour but this week) on ESPN2 . by watching, you pick up some things. i cant explain how to play softball in this whole answer, since theres a lot to it to be good. you should try renting some videos or going to websites to learn more techniques. even watching MLB helps. if you want to be good at softball and possibly have a career--or then again just be good and show off.
oh and by the way. the ball isnt any softer than a baseball; just bigger.
