How do you turn off an iPod mini? Seriously i thought they would make it really obvious. So what i do is put it on hold and push pause and it eventually turns off i think? Am i wasting battery this way?

You hold down the bottom button, which is the play/pause one. You're not wasting any more battery than you would when you just leave it on and put it on hold.
