what does cankersores mean? (link)

A canker sore is a small, painful, extremely annoying sore in your mouth. They really hurt, especially if they get under your lower lip, but they go away after a week or so. I believe they're caused by some tiny puncture -- perhaps a shard of potato chip that jabbed?
Do NOT eat anything hot (hot soup, hot pizza, etc) when you have a canker sore. You will want to scream.
