Well I'm a 17 year old girl.
The thing is that I really really like this one guy named Anthony at school and I talk to him about 3 out of 5 days at school. He's really cute and I kind see kindness in his eyes and his smile but a friend has told me that he's gay. I have no proof of this. He has no guy friends that I know of but I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything. Anthony smiles at me in the hall, waves to me in the lunch room, and says hi whenever I pass him. I really want to ask him to prom but he is really shy and I have no clue about if this rumor is true. I'm usually not one to even think that rumors might be true but this one does affect me some. Should I ask him anyways? If so then how? I'm not good at verbally asking things like this and I know that guys hate receiving notes. (link)

Well if you wanna ask him if he's gay just start saying that you have a friend who is gay and is looking for someone to take to the prom and if he knows anybody he could take. If he offers himself say that you'll ask him and keep avoiding him so you don't have to tell him that you just made him up. If he kinda looks a little wierded out that prob. means he's not gay and then you should definetly ask him!
