I use a sponge to wash my dishes -- wet sponge, squirt on detergent, wash dishes, rinse dishes and sponge, pretty standard. Every time I get out the sponge to wash the dishes again, it's hard and stiff and I have to wet it for it to be flexible. Is this the normal condition for used sponges or is there something I can do to make the sponge soft all the time? I tried rinsing it an extra long time last time, but it's still got hard again. wow
are you just really stupid or what?
could it possibly be that the water in the sponge just dried and evaporated? no, it couldn't possibly be that

The sponge was also completely dry when I bought it and it was soft then.
