I'm a twenty year old chick from Wisconsin. I could sit here and ramble on about my life, but I'm not going to. I'll spare you the boring details. God knows we've seen one too many profiles with "OMG, I HAVE A BOYFRIEND. AND A DOG. GOD I LOVE THEM BOTH, I CANT CHOOSE WHO I LOVE MORE. IM SO COOL. I LOVE MY FRIENDS. SHOUTOUTS LYKE THX!"
So lets cut to the chase, I'm only here becuase a friend reffered me and I have a knack of giving advice. I'm very blunt and in no way am I going to paint some pretty picture and tell you things that you want to hear.
Have fun kids.

I'm really sorry to hear about that, it's really sad that something like this had to happen to anyone so young.
Every year, for the past five years, I've lost someone close to me. Wether it be friend or a relative.
Last year it was my grandfather. He was diagnosed with stage four cancer, which meant there was no saving him, they doctors gave him an estimated time that he'd live. Which was sometime before Thanksgiving. All you can really do in a near death situation like that is spend time with the person and hope for the best.
Im not a person who prays either but it's funny how sometimes in situations like that some of us will start praying for some sign of hope. I prayed.
My grandfather made it to see Thanksgiving, he even made it to see Christmas, and New Years. He proved the doctors wrong, and he beat the odds of his life span. In Febuary though he had passed away, which was a relief and I know that sounds terrible but he was suffering so much. He was slowly dying and he was trying his best to live for all of us.
I guess the point in my story is that a person can really pull through and beat the odds that are against them, no matter how horrible. I'm sure that there might not always be a full recovery for some, and that your life may never be the same... but at least sometimes, they'll still be with us.
Be there for his sister more than anything. She probably really needs someone during this time.
