I dont know if the doctor tried to give you any excercises to help. There are some exercises that should be done to alleviate the pain. Ask your doctor about these exercises. I know that one is placing your hands together like praying hands, pointing you fingers toward your chest and pushing your hands away from you body while still keeping your palms together. If you dont understand ask your doctor.
Another thing that doctors dont usually tell you is that there are some foods that can increase your risks of carpal tunnel and make it worse if you have it. Now, I have been trying to look it up but cant seem to find it. It is either Red or Yellow dye that can hurt you. Do you drink alot of red or orange soda, because this could just make it worse.
You might try looking into natural cures for carpal tunnel.. Its better than surgery.
