People, I guess lustful teenagers specifically, like to get hickies. I don't mean everyone, but generally speaking. Guys like it when their girlfriend sucks on their neck, and girls like it when their boyfriend does the same. They brag about it. They show it off. But when they're in school, they try to cover it up! People make fun of them for it! I understand wanting to hide it from your parents, but it's like...you're ashamed of the thing you were just bragging about. Isn't this kind of stupid? (link)

Yes it is. But don't you notice that they only brag to thier friends or people they know won't judge them. They try to cover it up because thay know people will call them slutty or watever. They want to hide it from the people who will not be so considerate of the feelings or not care about the story of how they got it.

Yeaah...maybe...but the same people (it's guys mostly) talk loudly about all the girls they've had sex with, though I'm sure none of it is true, and discuss other personal things in front of strangers. What I've been noticing is that people they know will make fun of them about it, so maybe it's just raillery...I dunno. I just think it's kind of stupid.
