Okay, it really depends on the girl. Judging by the last person who asked this, I tink more people said it was cute. I, personally, would think it's weird. I'd rather just have the guy go for it, but then I guess other times it would be cute. Either way you do it, she'll probably like it. Just go for what feels right.
