I have a small cyst (like an infection under the skin) of my earlobe. Tomorrow I'm going to get the cyst lanced, thus relieving the pressure in my earlobe. It's pretty small, only the width of my earlobe at the bottom, but it's extremely painful now. I'm not afraid to get it lanced, but I'm wondering, will I have to have stitches? Will they give me a shot of pain reliever/numbing thing? Thanks! (link)
I had a small cyst removed from the back of my shoulder. It wasn't anything serious. They gave me a needle that really stung for a minute than I never even knew what the doctor was doing. It was over very quick and I had stitches so I think that you might get a few but I don't know. Maybe it depends on how big the cyst was but mine was only really small and I had some.

Don't worry :D

Nah, stitches weren't required - but it is infected. A cyst formed below scar tissue in my earlobe, and the doctor drained/removed the cyst. I didn't feel it (shot!) but it has to be wrapped up and I'm on meds now. :( Thanks!
